In an exciting twist to the usual narrative of downsizing and closures within the gaming industry, a new development studio has emerged, signaling a promising direction for both gamers and developers alike. This newly minted entity, Emptyvessel, is a collaboration among seasoned professionals who previously contributed to blockbuster franchises across major companies, including Activision, ID Software, and Naughty Dog. Their collective resume boasts influential titles such as Doom, Quake, Call of Duty, Borderlands, Tomb Raider, and many more.
Emptyvessel has set its sights on developing AAA games, particularly enhancing the immersive shooter experience. The team is working on a project tentatively named The System. Drawing inspiration from a mix of dystopian sci-fi elements found in films, graphic novels, and video games, The System is eagerly anticipated to deliver a fresh narrative in the genre.
To further elevate the auditory experience of their inaugural project, Emptyvessel has partnered with Mick Gordon, a renowned composer known for his work on Doom, Borderlands 3, and Prey, among others. Gordon's involvement promises to complement the studio's ambitious vision with captivating soundscapes.
With such a wealth of experience and creativity converging at Emptyvessel, the gaming community eagerly awaits what promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the immersive shooter space.
