Atreus Channels Hermes in Bizarre God of War Ragnarok Glitch

The highly anticipated God of War Ragnarok game may have some kinks to work out, as a peculiar glitch was recently discovered by a fan. This strange bug transforms Kratos' son, Atreus, into a speedster reminiscent of the Greek God of Speed, Hermes. Glitches and bugs are part and parcel of complex video games like God of War Ragnarok, but this one truly stands out among the rest.

In a Reddit post, a fan shared a video clip showcasing the glitch, which features Atreus sprinting back and forth in a room at an incredibly fast pace. Further examination of the clip reveals that Atreus' character model seems to have been duplicated and positioned in two different areas within the room, connected by a rapidly blinking line. The result is an unintentional nod to the fleet-footed Hermes.

Interestingly, Atreus has been at the center of several glitches in God of War Ragnarok. This might be attributed to the fact that Atreus is a playable character in the game, the first in the series where players can take control of someone other than Kratos. Since Atreus is more than a non-playable character, it could explain why he's prone to these unusual mishaps.

As for the connection to Hermes, it's not the first time Kratos has crossed paths with the God of Speed. Throughout the God of War series, Kratos has battled numerous gods, including Hermes in God of War 3. In a memorable encounter, Kratos defeats Hermes by brutally removing his legs to claim the winged boots and gain their abilities.

In conclusion, the bizarre God of War Ragnarok glitch turning Atreus into a Hermes doppelganger adds to the game's growing collection of oddities. While fans eagerly await any news on possible DLC featuring Atreus or a game centered around Kratos' son, they can at least enjoy the strange and sometimes amusing glitches that surface along the way.
